Ennis named as first town in Ireland to achieve Purple Flag

Ennis is the first town in Ireland accredited with the prestigious International Purple Flag Award proving Ennis’ claim to be the Friendliest Town in Ireland. The Purple Flag means Excellence in appeal and Management of town centres in the evening and at night. Brian O’Neill, chairman of Promote Ennis, said: “We are delighted to be the first town in Ireland accredited with the prestigious international Purple Flag award proving Ennis’s claim to be the Friendliest Town in Ireland.
