Nora Cleary sings ‘Mac and Shanahan’ & ‘Little ball of yarn’

"Two songs by Nora Cleary from Miltown Malbay (County of Clare, Ireland), both recorded in July 1976. In December 1920, two young republicans, Michael MacNamara and Willie Shanahan were arrested in Doonbeg, South West Clare, by a group of Black and Tans, members of the auxiliary force that had been brough to Ireland to assist in suppressing the growing opposition to British rule.
