A Pyrography Exhibition by Stephen Smith-Danaher at Seán Lemass Public Library, Shannon
Stephen Smith-Danaher, a Shannon native and an art enthusiast, learned pyrography in his woodwork class. Pyrography is the art of decorating wood or other materials with burn marks resulting from the controlled application of a heated object such as a poker. Stephen has created several portraits of friends and well-known people and for commissions. His exhibition in Shannon library which runs from the 5th to the 15th of November is a unique collection of portraits of musical, sporting and film icons of the modern era.
