Clare Past Forum seeks volunteers for new transcription project on emigrants
Some members of the Clare Past Forum have initiated a project which seeks to list people who have emigrated from County Clare and who passed through the emigration station on Ellis Island, New York between 1892 and 1954, using free and publicly available data provided online by the Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation. The project will be managed by Paddy Casey, a member of the forum, in association with Clare County Library staff. We are now seeking volunteers to assist in this project by agreeing to transcribe relevant records relating to individual Clare parishes. More info...

I continue to be quite impressed with all the activity going on in your library. Tomorrow when I visit our small library in Chatsworth, Illinois , USA (town of 300) I'll be sharing this blog with them.
