Brighton Rock by Graham Greene starring Helen Mirren and John Hurt;
The King’s Speech by Mark Logue starring Colin Firth, Geoffrey Rush and Helena Bonham Carter;
Between a Rock and a Hard Place by Aron Ralston which is filmed under the title 127 Hours;
True Grit by Charles Portis – a Coen Brothers remake of the John Wayne classic with actors Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon starring;
Never let me go by Kazuo Ishiguro starring Carey Mulligan and Keira Knightley;
Gulliver’s travels by Jonathan Swift starring Jack Black and Billy Connolly.
Film adaptations of the following books are due to be released during 2011:
Dark fields by Alan Glynn which is filmed under the title Limitless;
Lincoln Lawyer by Michael Connelly;
We need to talk about Kevin by Lionel Shriver;
One Day by David Nicholls;
The Help by Kathryn Stockett.

I hadn't realized that The King's Speech was based on a book. I'll have to read it before I see the movie!
