Michael Mac Mahon is a past vice-president and an honorary life member of the Clare Archaeological & Historical Society. He holds an MA in History & Local Studies from the University of Limerick and is a former member of the Heritage Council. Polish Festival continues at Clare Museum
On Thursday, 3rd October at 1pm there will be a lunchtime lecture on the Warsaw Uprising of 1944, given by Jakub Kacprzak, a grandson of an insurgent.
A morning talk on Multi-culturalism in Poland will held on Saturday, 5th October at 11 am. This will be given by Marcin and Marina Piotrowski, members of the Folkowisko association. In the afternoon the Polish film series will continue with the movie ‘A short film about killing’ which has an 18 certificate.
Exhibitions of Polish modern art continue at Clare Museum throughout the forthcoming week, featuring painting, photography and jewellery mostly by Polish immigrants living in Clare. Admission to all events and exhibition is free. For further details contact John Rattigan at 065-6823382.
