Summer Reading 2012
Wondering what to read on the beach (or looking out at the rain) this summer? There are plenty of recommended summer reading lists available to help you choose. There’s no escaping sports this summer with the Irish Times 30 Great Summer Reads list recommending The Art of Fielding by Chad Harbach, a tale of male bonding in the world of college baseball; Gold by Chris Cleave about two Olympic-level speed cyclists and Triggs: The Autobiography of Roy Keane’s Dog by Paul Howard. However, for those who feel that they have had enough of sport this summer before the Olympics even start, there are plenty of thrillers, comedies and tear jerkers. Click here for The Irish Times list of thirty great summer reads… The Richard and Judy Summer Bookclub recommends 10 novels including The Thread by Victoria Hislop and A Perfectly Good Man by Patrick Gale.
