Mayor of Clare Cllr. Pat Hayes speaking at the launch of the Caring for Carers Ireland Art and Writing Competition at DeValera Public Library, Ennis, on Tuesday 19th June. The theme of the competition was ‘How We Care’ and 3rd to 6th class pupils of national schools in Clare, Cork and Galway were invited to demonstrate their creative skills and also to develop thoughtfulness and a greater awareness of those who provide care to others. Special guests on the day were pupils of Rineen National School, their Headmaster Mr. Michael Rouine, and regional prizewinner Ashling Sexton.
