Kelp beds and crustose corallines at Black Head, County Clare
"Kelp beds line the lower shore of the exposed coast of the Burren in County Clare in
Ireland. Below the kelp, forming pink crusts, are crustose coralline algae. These
corallines are very resistant to grazing because of their calcium-carbonate encrusted
cells." Posted on Youtube on the 16th of June 2012 by seaweedguiry.
