Children were treated
to all things spooky in Scariff Public Library last week. The theme was
inspired by this year’s Creepy House summer reading challenge. The week kicked
off with the scary film Paranorman for older children on the big screen while
the little ones watched cartoons with popcorn and drinks. Tembre De Carteret transformed the filmgoers into spooky
creatures with her face paints which proved a hit! On Wednesday children were
treated to a Little Monsters story time and a fun bat-making workshop. Children
loved the multi-coloured felted snakes they made with Mia Foley on Thursday and
were thrilled how you could twist them into different shapes. Friday was the
turn of Isabelle Gaborit’s scratched art workshop where children revealed
beautiful colourful pictures underneath the black painted surface of their
artwork.
