Age Limit: Not less than 17 years of age on 7th March, 2014.
Qualifications: Current Irish Water Safety, National Beach Lifeguard Award or equivalent as recognised by the International Lifesaving Federation (ILS).
All candidates will be required to undergo a practical test in Basic Life Support (BLS), swimming ability, lifesaving techniques and a theory test conducted by an Examiner(s) nominated by Irish Water Safety.
The Garda Vetting process will be carried out in respect of all applicants.

Certificates in respect of qualifications/training other than those listed on Page 5 of the Application Form should not be submitted as no additional marks will be awarded and Clare County Council cannot guarantee the return of such certificates.
Completed applications and completed Garda Vetting Forms must be forwarded not later than 4.00 p.m. on Friday 7th March, 2014, marked Private & Confidential, to Ms. Siobhan O’Keeffe, Administrative Officer, Human Resources Department, Clare County Council, Ắras Contae an Chlair, New Road, Ennis, Co. Clare.
N.B. The Garda Vetting Form must be fully completed by every candidate. The Parent/Guardian Consent Form should only be completed in respect of candidates who are under 18 years.
