Clare-based photographer is British Wildlife Photographer of the Year
A Czech man living in Lahinch has won the British Wildlife Photographer of the Year Award. George Karbus won the prize for his photograph of a bottle-nosed dolphin, taken off the coast of Northern Ireland. In order to get the shot, Karbus had to swim through the waves with the dolphin. This latest award is one of a series won by the photographer since 2008.
